ARTICLE I - GENERAL REFUND PRINCIPLES AND PHILOSOPHY
1.1 Our Commitment to Fair Refunds
At WriteClarity, we believe that fair and transparent refund practices are essential to building trust and maintaining long-term relationships with our clients. Our refund policy is designed to balance the legitimate interests of our clients with the need to protect our business operations and compensate our writers fairly for their work. We are committed to evaluating each refund request on its individual merits, considering all relevant circumstances, and making decisions that are fair, reasonable, and consistent with our stated policies. We understand that academic work is important to our clients, and we take refund requests seriously, investigating each case thoroughly and communicating clearly throughout the process.
1.1.1 We are committed to customer satisfaction and will work diligently to resolve any issues or concerns you may have with our services before considering refund requests. In many cases, issues can be resolved through revisions, additional support, or other accommodations that address your concerns without requiring a refund.
1.1.2 We evaluate each refund request individually based on its specific circumstances, the nature of the issue, the stage of work completion, and the extent to which we have fulfilled our obligations under the order agreement. No two situations are exactly alike, and we strive to make fair decisions that consider all relevant factors.
1.1.3 Refunds are provided in accordance with this policy and applicable consumer protection laws. We comply with all legal requirements regarding refunds and consumer rights in the jurisdictions where we operate, and we may provide refunds beyond what is legally required when we determine it is fair and appropriate to do so.
1.1.4 We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time with notice to users. However, any modifications will not affect refund requests for orders placed before the policy change. The version of the refund policy in effect at the time you placed your order will govern any refund requests related to that order.
1.1.5 All refund decisions are made in good faith with consideration of both client interests and company interests. We strive to be fair, reasonable, and consistent in our refund decisions while preventing abuse of the refund process and protecting the integrity of our services.
1.2 Refund Policy Scope and Application
This Refund Policy applies to all services provided by WriteClarity, including custom academic writing, editing, proofreading, research assistance, and any other services offered through our Platform. The policy governs all refund requests regardless of the reason for the request, the amount paid, or the stage of order completion. Understanding the scope and application of this policy is essential for both clients and WriteClarity to ensure consistent and fair treatment of all refund matters.
1.2.1 This policy applies to all orders placed through our Platform, regardless of the service type, academic level, deadline, or order value. All clients are subject to the same refund policy terms and conditions, ensuring fair and equal treatment.
1.2.2 Refund eligibility and amounts are determined based on the specific circumstances of each case, including the nature of the issue, the extent of work completed, the timeliness of the refund request, and compliance with order requirements and communication obligations.
1.2.3 This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any other applicable policies or agreements. In the event of any conflict between this Refund Policy and other policies, this Refund Policy shall prevail with respect to refund-related matters.
ARTICLE II - TYPES OF REFUNDS AVAILABLE
2.1 Full Refund
A full refund means that one hundred percent (100%) of the amount paid for an order is returned to the client. Full refunds are provided in specific circumstances where we have failed to meet our fundamental obligations or where the client is entitled to a complete refund under applicable law or this policy. Full refunds represent our acknowledgment that we were unable to provide the service as agreed and that the client should not bear any financial burden for the failed service delivery.
2.1.1 Full refunds include the entire order amount paid, including any rush fees, additional service charges, or other fees associated with the order. However, payment processing fees charged by third-party payment processors may be deducted from the refund amount as these fees are non-recoverable by WriteClarity.
2.1.2 Full refunds are typically provided when no work has been delivered, when delivered work is completely unusable or fails to meet basic requirements, when we miss the deadline without client-caused delays, or when other circumstances warrant a complete refund as determined by WriteClarity.
2.1.3 Full refunds are processed through the original payment method used for the order, and the client forfeits all rights to use any work product that may have been created in connection with the order. Any work product delivered must be deleted and not used in any way.
2.2 Partial Refund
A partial refund means that a percentage of the amount paid for an order is returned to the client, with the specific percentage determined based on the circumstances of the case. Partial refunds are the most common type of refund and are provided when some work has been completed, when issues are partially resolved, or when both parties share some responsibility for the situation. The partial refund amount is calculated to fairly compensate the client for any deficiencies while also recognizing the work that has been completed.
2.2.1 Partial refund amounts typically range from ten percent (10%) to ninety percent (90%) of the order amount, depending on factors such as the extent of work completed, the severity of quality issues, the stage at which problems were identified, and the degree to which requirements were met.
2.2.2 Partial refunds are commonly provided when work has been started but not completed, when delivered work partially meets requirements but has some deficiencies, when minor quality issues cannot be fully resolved through revisions, or when client-caused delays or incomplete information contributed to the issues.
2.2.3 When a partial refund is provided, the client typically retains the right to use the work product that has been delivered, subject to the terms of our Terms of Service and any applicable usage restrictions. The partial refund represents compensation for the deficiencies while acknowledging that some value has been provided.
2.3 Account Credit
An account credit is a refund provided in the form of credit applied to the client's WriteClarity account, which can be used toward future orders. Account credits are sometimes offered as an alternative to monetary refunds, particularly when the client wishes to continue using our services and prefers to apply the refund amount to a future order. Account credits may also be offered when a monetary refund is not feasible due to payment processing limitations or when it provides a more favorable outcome for the client.
2.3.1 Account credits are applied to your WriteClarity account and can be used toward any future order. Credits do not expire and remain available until used, unless your account is terminated for violation of our Terms of Service.
2.3.2 Account credits may be offered at a higher value than a monetary refund to incentivize continued use of our services. For example, we may offer a 110% account credit instead of a 100% monetary refund, providing additional value to clients who choose this option.
2.3.3 Account credits are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. They can only be used for services provided by WriteClarity through our Platform.
2.4 No Refund
In certain circumstances, no refund will be provided. This occurs when the refund request does not meet the eligibility criteria set forth in this policy, when the client has violated the Terms of Service, when the work has been completed satisfactorily according to the order requirements, or when other circumstances make a refund inappropriate. A determination of no refund does not necessarily mean that the client's concerns are invalid, but rather that the circumstances do not warrant a monetary refund under this policy.
2.4.1 No refund determinations are made after careful review of all relevant circumstances and are based on objective criteria set forth in this policy. Clients who disagree with a no refund determination may appeal the decision through our dispute resolution process.
2.4.2 Even when no refund is provided, we may offer alternative remedies such as additional revisions, extended revision periods, or other accommodations to address the client's concerns and ensure satisfaction with our services.
ARTICLE III - FULL REFUND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
3.1 Pre-Delivery Cancellations
Clients may be eligible for a full refund if they cancel their order before any work has been delivered or before significant work has commenced. The timing of the cancellation request is critical in determining refund eligibility, as once work has begun, our writers have invested time and effort that must be fairly compensated. We encourage clients to carefully review their order requirements before placing orders to minimize the need for cancellations.
3.1.1 Full refunds are available for order cancellations made within one (1) hour of order placement, provided that no writer has been assigned and no work has commenced. This grace period allows clients to correct mistakes or change their minds shortly after placing an order.
3.1.2 After the one-hour grace period, cancellation refunds are subject to review and may be partial rather than full, depending on the extent of work completed. If a writer has been assigned and has begun research or writing, a partial refund will be provided to compensate the writer for their time and effort.
3.1.3 Cancellation requests must be submitted through our Platform or by contacting customer support. Verbal cancellation requests or requests made through unofficial channels may not be processed immediately and may affect refund eligibility.
3.2 Failure to Deliver
Clients are entitled to a full refund if WriteClarity fails to deliver the completed work by the agreed deadline without a valid reason or without the client's consent to an extension. Timely delivery is a fundamental obligation, and failure to meet deadlines without justification warrants a full refund. However, deadlines may be extended with client consent or when delays are caused by client actions or circumstances beyond our control.
3.2.1 Full refunds are provided when we fail to deliver work by the agreed deadline and the delay was not caused by client actions, such as late provision of required materials, delayed responses to clarification requests, or approved deadline extensions.
3.2.2 If we anticipate that we may not meet a deadline, we will proactively contact you to discuss options, which may include deadline extensions, partial delivery, or order cancellation with a full refund. We strive to communicate proactively about any potential delays.
3.2.3 Force majeure events, technical failures beyond our control, or other extraordinary circumstances may excuse deadline failures and affect refund eligibility. We will assess each situation individually and provide fair remedies based on the specific circumstances.
3.3 Fundamental Quality Failures
Full refunds may be provided when delivered work contains fundamental quality failures that make it completely unusable for its intended purpose, even after reasonable revision attempts. Fundamental quality failures are distinguished from minor quality issues or subjective preferences and represent serious deficiencies that prevent the work from meeting basic academic standards or order requirements.
3.3.1 Fundamental quality failures include but are not limited to: work that is completely off-topic or unrelated to the order requirements, work that contains extensive plagiarism despite our quality controls, work that is written at a significantly lower academic level than specified, or work that fails to address the core requirements of the assignment.
3.3.2 Minor quality issues, formatting errors, citation mistakes, or other issues that can be corrected through revisions do not constitute fundamental quality failures and do not warrant full refunds. We provide free revisions to address such issues.
3.3.3 Quality disputes must be supported by specific evidence and objective criteria. Subjective dissatisfaction or personal preferences do not constitute quality failures. We will review all quality complaints objectively and make fair determinations based on academic standards and order requirements.
ARTICLE IV - PARTIAL REFUND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
4.1 Work in Progress Cancellations
When clients request cancellation after work has commenced but before completion, partial refunds are typically provided based on the extent of work completed. The partial refund amount is calculated to fairly compensate both the client for the incomplete service and the writer for the work performed. We assess the stage of completion and the usability of any work product created to determine the appropriate refund amount.
4.1.1 Partial refunds for work in progress typically range from fifty percent (50%) to ninety percent (90%) of the order amount, depending on how much work has been completed. If work is in early stages, a higher refund percentage is provided. If work is substantially complete, a lower refund percentage is appropriate.
4.1.2 Any work product created up to the point of cancellation may be provided to the client at our discretion, particularly if a lower refund percentage is applied. This allows clients to potentially use or build upon the work that has been completed.
4.2 Partial Quality Issues
Partial refunds may be provided when delivered work has quality issues that affect some but not all aspects of the work, when work partially meets requirements but has deficiencies, or when quality issues cannot be fully resolved through revisions but the work still has substantial value. The refund amount is proportional to the severity and extent of the quality issues.
4.2.1 Partial refunds for quality issues typically range from ten percent (10%) to fifty percent (50%) of the order amount, depending on the severity of the issues, the extent to which requirements were met, and the usability of the delivered work.
4.2.2 Before providing a partial refund for quality issues, we will typically offer revisions to address the concerns. Partial refunds are considered when revisions cannot fully resolve the issues or when the client prefers a refund over additional revisions.
ARTICLE V - REFUND REQUEST PROCESS AND PROCEDURES
5.1 How to Request a Refund
Refund requests must be submitted through official channels and must include specific information about the reason for the request. Following the proper refund request process ensures that your request is processed efficiently and that we have all necessary information to make a fair determination. We have established clear procedures to handle refund requests consistently and professionally.
5.1.1 Refund requests should be submitted through our Platform's customer support system or by emailing refunds@writeclarity.com. Include your order number, a detailed explanation of the reason for the refund request, and any supporting documentation or evidence.
5.1.2 Refund requests must be submitted within fourteen (14) days of order delivery for completed orders, or within fourteen (14) days of the scheduled delivery date for orders that were not delivered. Late requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.
5.1.3 Provide specific details about the issues or concerns that led to the refund request. Vague or general complaints make it difficult to assess the validity of the request and may delay processing. The more specific and detailed your request, the more efficiently we can evaluate it.
5.1.4 Include any relevant evidence such as order requirements, delivered work, correspondence with writers or support staff, or other documentation that supports your refund request. Evidence helps us understand the situation and make fair determinations.
5.2 Refund Request Review Process
All refund requests are carefully reviewed by our customer service team and, when necessary, by our quality assurance team or management. We investigate each request thoroughly, considering all relevant factors and evidence before making a determination. Our review process is designed to be fair, objective, and consistent while also being efficient and responsive to client needs.
5.2.1 Upon receiving a refund request, we will acknowledge receipt within twenty-four (24) hours during business days and provide an estimated timeline for review and decision. Most refund requests are reviewed and decided within three (3) to five (5) business days.
5.2.2 We may contact you to request additional information, clarification, or evidence to support your refund request. Prompt responses to our inquiries help expedite the review process.
5.2.3 We will communicate our decision in writing, including the rationale for the decision and the refund amount if applicable. If a refund is denied, we will explain the reasons and inform you of any alternative remedies or appeal options available.
Fair Refund Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work and are committed to your satisfaction. If you're not satisfied with your order, please contact us within 14 days of delivery, and we'll work with you to find a fair and reasonable solution.
Contact us at refunds@writeclarity.com or through our customer support system. We are here to help and will respond to your inquiry promptly and professionally.
ARTICLE VI - REFUND CALCULATION METHODS
6.1 Calculation Factors
Refund amounts are calculated based on multiple factors including the extent of work completed, the severity of any quality issues, the stage at which problems were identified, and the degree to which order requirements were met. We use objective criteria to ensure consistent and fair refund calculations across all cases.
ARTICLE VII - REFUND PROCESSING AND TIMELINES
7.1 Processing Times
Approved refunds are processed within five (5) to seven (7) business days of approval. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment method and financial institution, typically ranging from three (3) to ten (10) business days after processing.
ARTICLE VIII - NON-REFUNDABLE CIRCUMSTANCES
8.1 Completed Satisfactory Work
No refund is provided when work has been completed according to order specifications and meets quality standards, even if you are subjectively dissatisfied with the content or approach. Refunds are not provided for subjective preferences or stylistic choices when work meets objective quality criteria.
ARTICLE IX - QUALITY DISPUTES AND RESOLUTION
9.1 Quality Assessment
Quality disputes are assessed objectively based on academic standards, order requirements, and industry best practices. We review the work against the original specifications and determine whether it meets reasonable quality expectations for the academic level and subject matter.
ARTICLE X - REVISION POLICY AND REFUND RELATIONSHIP
10.1 Revisions Before Refunds
We encourage clients to request revisions before seeking refunds. Many issues can be resolved through our free revision process, which allows us to address concerns and ensure your satisfaction without requiring a refund. Refunds are typically considered only after revision attempts have been exhausted or when revisions cannot adequately address the issues.
ARTICLE XI - DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEDURES
11.1 Appeals Process
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may appeal by contacting our management team with additional information or evidence. Appeals are reviewed by senior staff members who were not involved in the initial decision, ensuring an independent and fair review of your case.
ARTICLE XII - CONTACT INFORMATION AND SUPPORT
12.1 Refund Support
